Is there really any problems with Nocturne's writing?
As the title says. I'm pretty blinded to the quality of writing at times by cool visuals. Castlevania Nocturne serves as a big example. All of the fight scenes were super epic, and that's enough for me to call it my anime of the year for 2025. Though, there's always a sour apple in the batch. There's this fella on YouTube who talked about his feelings about Nocturne season 2, which are primarily negative. His opinions won't sway me of course, because his problems consisted of Annette being a MacGuffin self insert woke character or something, because she wasn't black in the games and she is black here.
However, I want to hear from more community members on this topic. Is there really any large issues with Nocturne's writing? I know that season 1 was weaker than season 2, but OG Castlevania was like that too.
This YouTube content creator's username will remain unsaid, mostly because I don't want hate being sent his way but also because YouTube's algorithm uses any sort of engagement, whether it's positive or negative to push out that user's content. He frankly doesn't deserve any time of day.
