(repost) pain 10 weeks post-op
hi all- i had surgery for a moderate/severe bunion about 10 weeks ago. the doctor said i should be back in a shoe, completely normal after 3 weeks. however, im still in pain and using my boot everyday (walking to class makes my pain flare up more). when i followed up with him week 3, 4, 5, etc he just kinda…threw his arms up and was like “you should be able to put a shoe back on now” which was really frustrating. i have an appointment w him in a couple days, and i have a feeling he’s gonna say something similar.
is it normal for me to still have some pain 10 weeks later? putting on a shoe hurts, and taking it off hurts even more since it bends my big toe. i don’t have my gait back either.
