15 years ago I was earning P150 a day

College grad always unlucky landing a job. Then got hired once but decided not to pursue corporate due to personal reasons. Ended up as tagabantay ng PC shop and I remember being paid 150/day no allowance even a single peso. Worse, there was a time pa the owner just paid me 100 because mahina.

After Ondoy, left that job and started working for a friend. An encoding job, I was earning around 5k a month at least. Tried applying for more jobs till I got hired by a British SEO expert. Best client I must say. Was earning around 50K a month. Even hired my wife for us to earn more. Unfortunately, he had to quit his business due to personal reasons. He gave me my very first laptop even gave me a phone. He would always tell me to drop everything when it was too late. He was always worried about our health.

We were so down when we lost that client. Tried applying again and out of nowhere, there was a guy who messaged me on OLJ. Initially thought it was a scam. Started working $3/hr for almost a year. Then negotiated to get paid fixed salary instead. It was risky when I asked for 1K/month because I was just earning like 700/mo when I was hourly but he never hesitated to say yes. So I thought I should have asked for 2k instead.😂

Fast forward, still working for this client and now earning $4k/mo plus incentives. I know it might sound weird that I said that my previous client was the best although my current pays 4x. I just find it more fun to work for a client who never fails to care. Don't get me wrong, my current client is OK naman iba lang talaga si British kahit lower salary.

Tbh, never imagined I would earn 6 digits ever. Funny thing is this client approached me first. Never applied to him. My OLJ profile was trash. It was pure luck I must say and just had to work my way up from earning $3/hr.

Wag lang tayo masawa magtry. Di tayo lage nasa baba. Basta lumalaban tayo nang patas aangat tayo lahat.
