Fingers as clenching preventative 🤔
So you know the claim that we could technically snap our own fingers off with our teeth as easily as we do baby carrots, but we dont because our brain tells us to stop?
Well, I had an interesting thought last night. If thats true, then what would happen if you just went to sleep with one of your fingers in between your teeth lol
Would you brain tell itself not to clench because it doesnt want to bite down on its own finger?
Update: This actually works, I posted this kind of jokingly at first, but I've tried it two nights in a row because I absolutely need to stop clenching while I'm waiting on my new night guard to come in, and it does prevent clenching. It even kind of notifies me when Im not relaxing my jaw, cus Im like gently "holding on" to my finger with my teeth. It's not the most comfortable thing in the world but I was able to sleep and wake up with no teeth pain, and I didnt bite my finger off lol
