Pinoy Tret users! Let's talk about local tretinoin brands available online.
UPDATE: the one sold by BCPderma official store seems to be the most popular here 😁
Just want to know your experiences among various tret brands that can be found on shopee/lazada. Edit: i have very oily skin Here's mine
Avotin-A 0.05 Tretinoin Cream from acneorgalternatives. This is the first brand i've tried way back Feb 2020. I dont have that much acne issues prior to tret and have pretty clear skin. I introduced it slowly starting twice a week. but i have stopped using it about 2 months ago because i noticed that the CC's are not stopping. I think it might be becuase of the cream formulation. I don't get dryness and flaking, just CC's and cystic acne that i dont even have before. Ended up having the worst skin i had in years.
Currently using:
*CNGSkincare 0.001 R.a. Gel from acguevarra shoppe This would be the lowest strength i found online. Been using this for about 2 months and the dosage is very tolerable that i can even apply every night without the need to wait for my face to dry, and before my moisturizer. I even apply it on my neck a few times a week with no adverse reactions. The only downside is the alcohol smell and the packaging. It's in a plastic tub/jar. Some may find it sketchy kasi parang repacked feel and possible na madali madegrade unlike if it was in an ointment tube. Although, the shop has great reviews even with other products with actives like BP and clobetasol. My skin started to heal when i switched to this.
*Dermcare 0.025 gel variant from acneorgalternatives. Most recent purchase since the one mentioned above is weak. I've been using it twice week on days im not using the other one and so far no adverse reactions. With this one, i buffer with moisturizer and wait for my face to dry. Same with the acguevarra one, may alcohol smell which i dont mind. Good packaging.
Another brand I've heard about in this sub is the BCP one. Kayo, what's your go to?
PS. When incorporating retinoids, supervision of a derm is highly recommended. (or at the very least, do your research)
