terminating policies will make insurance agent lose job?

hi. just wanna ask if insurance agents will lose their job if i were to terminate some plans? i have bought a few policies with my friend who is an agent but somehow i just needed to cancel it due to personal reasons but she said she will lose her job if i were to cancel. i have checked with another insurance agent from the same company but he said there is no such thing as losing job due to termination of policies as it is quite normal. is my friend trying to make me feel bad?
