The Wilderness preventing rescue?

Let’s assume for a moment that this show is supernatural. I know there’s an endless debate about psychological vs supernatural, but let’s just go with the supernatural theory for a bit. Is it possible that the wilderness is preventing the girls from getting rescued? The girls are found after 19 months. That’s an extremely long time. According to some research I did, most searches for crashed commercial planes if no wreckage is found only lasts about 1-2 months. And searches for small private planes like the ones that the girls were on only last 7-14 days. I think it’s been made very clear by this point that there’s absolutely nothing or nobody in the area around them. The likelihood of rescue by some random hiker is not only astronomically low, but impractical as well. So my point here, is why after 19 months, did they just suddenly get rescued? Some plane just randomly happened to fly by and finally see these girls? In 19 months there should have been planes flying by all the time, and yet there never was. I have a theory that the wilderness is wanting them to do these awful things to each other, and only then when it’s satisfied will it let them be saved. Lottie says in season 2 that the wilderness “isn’t evil, just hungry” I think most people at this point have taken that line to mean that it’s hungry for death. I think that the wilderness could want as many souls or as many people sacrificed in its honor, and only then will it allow rescue. We even see here in the first look for season 3 pictured above, that there’s now fog covering the entire forest and it’s extremely low down to the ground as well, so if there’s a plane that does fly by, it’s now impossible to see anything on the ground. Obviously there is fog in the Canadian wilderness in real life, but it wasn’t there at all in season 1. That specific visual is a new season 3 thing. I wonder if that’s a sort of visual cue to the audience. The wilderness is going to make things harder, and it won’t let up until it gets what it wants. We will see, but it’s just an interesting idea I had.
