The effect setup has on gameplay
For a long time I thought that 144hz was all you ever needed and me not being able to see the difference between 144 and 240 with the naked eye, I thought Its pointless to invest in better gear. After deciding to finally give in to the temptation and buy a 240hz monitor I was left dumbfounded . Tech has come such a long way that things like low latency modes/DMR/overdrive make a HUGE difference in the way the game actually feels. The motion clarity makes such a huge difference in the way you peek, hold angles and slice the pie, its actually insane. I only have 50-60 hours in valorant (But i have been supreme in CS GO) and believe me, gamesense and knowledge is way more important than aim, however the sheer amount of advantage gear gives you is actually ridiculous. I am writing this post in order to ask for your guy’s experiences and maybe in a way to convince myself that i should buy a 500hz monitor, just for the sheer enjoyment it might bring :v .
Do you think there is a difference between 240/360/500hz and if so, what does it feel like?
(Edit: Do you think reaction time plays a big role in the advantages you get by going up in refresh rate?)
