Retail job limited our hours - I’m lowkey depressed

I’m in my third year of uni and work a retail job to pay for my cat, subscriptions, and social life.

Since July 2024 the company I work for limited everyones hours to their contract hours to maximise profit. This means I can’t get overtime, so so much of my time I’m just sat at home bedrotting when I could be making money.

Now I’m stuck on 12 hours a week I can’t do much with my money. If it wasn’t for this hour shortage, I’d most likely have a car by now. I passed my driving test last July and have not driven since.

It’s just so unfair, I feel like my life is at a standstill because i cannot afford to elevate myself due to having no money!
