Warning: Dining Halls

Dear prospective students,

Syracuse University has a lot to offer, but housing and meal plans are perhaps the biggest drawback. The dining halls are often unsanitary (unclean dishes and cross-contamination of food) with offerings mislabelled, not arriving on time, and often being undercooked or burnt. In past years the dining halls have been less poorly managed, but this year the dining experience has been especially sad, with current management being incredibly unresponsive to numerous complaints and requests for change. I share this as a current student, and while my perspective may be influenced by my personal dissatisfaction, I wanted to provide an honest warning. I hope this helps you make in your decision about attending this school or not.
