Why are people so negative about sky? Why play a game you don’t like?

I keep seeing all these people complaining about sky, it’s either the prices or the bugs or they don’t like this season or that feature. It’s just so endlessly negative, and I’m genuinely wondering why do people keep playing a game they clearly dislike? I feel like I’m playing a totally different game. As a veteran of 4 years, I genuinely love playing sky and have no real complaints about anything. I don’t think it’s perfect by any means but it’s not this horrible, hyper consumerist, bug ridden, hell-game that everyone else seems to be playing.

Maybe this comes from my experience in the early fanfic community with the ‘don’t like, don’t read’ rule, but it seems like a waste of energy to keep playing a game that doesn’t bring joy. Do people who genuinely like sky actually exist? Or is it just me?
