Ep 3. - Log Balance Challenge - What Really Happened

Ooof, don't really post. Shy plus folks will prob. think I'm crazy. But! I got too curious - wanted to see if others noticed the same thing. - I have this thing where I hyper-fixate on micro-expressions and interpersonal relationships. Just a side effect of me, I pay very close attention, almost obsessive attention, to people and the way they react to one another so I can figure out what's going on.

Theory (what I saw): Junseo purposely pushed/fell in with the girls to help them avoid Taehwan's (and possibly Dongho's) erections. I feel really bad for Junseo in this scenario. He was actually being a gentleman, and was really embarrassed by having to 'pretend' to fall in.

#1 He is a former UDT soldier - strong, balanced, wins all the physical challenges - and helped the first 3 girls across easy peasy. So after that, he suddenly is incompetent and unable to help the next 3 girls?

#2 After Youjin crosses Junseo and gets to Taehwan, he (and she) are trying hard to keep hips from touching. Because he has a boner. If you slow it down (maybe .5 or .75) you can actually see Junseo's reaction/look - kind of disgusted and incredulous that Taehwan can't keep it together. You can also see the girls go crazy and their reactions. It's not because Youjin's going to fall in, it's because they can't believe Taehwan has a boner. It's all kind of hilarious.

#3 When Hyejin crosses next, she is also trying to get passed Taehwan without having to touch his hips.

#4 When Sian crosses, she does it fast. And! She's also a total girl's girl. She points out to the other girls in code that #2 (Taehwan) and #4 (Dongho) are "oily". She was trying to give them a heads up. They also cut to Taehwan and Dongho looking at each other a bit sheepishly? Smiley? At being called out in front of everyone.

#5 After Sian calls them out, that's when Junseo starts to fall in. If you notice with Minseol (the next girl) he was a little too rough and just straight up pushed her. He realized after that, that he has to do a little more acting. He felt bad; Minseol was pretty upset about just being 'pushed'.

#6 After Minseol, Junseo is much more careful with Jiyeon and tries to make it look nicer/more romantic.

#7 Junseo is so embarrassed about having to pretend, he even asks the other guys to switch positions with him. He doesn't want to be the guy that has to fall (as a UDT soldier, it's prob really embarrassing to have people think he can't accomplish this simple task).

#8 When Arin goes, she's actually super sweet. She tells Junseo that she "won't get greedy". The editing/scene makes it seem like she's talking about about winning and going fast - that she will go slow. But she's actually telling Junseo that she doesn't need a whole big production with falling. And you can see, because she then proceeds to pretty much fall herself.

#9 You can also tell by the hosts/panel's reactions throughout this scene that they kind of know what's going on, but can't say out loud.

So yeah, that's what I noticed. Thoughts? (please be gentle if you think I'm just a crazy person, but I can't help the way my brain is processing it lol). I also noticed some other things throughout the show, based on how familiar certain people are with each other and certain things they do and side comments (I'm also Korean-American, so noticed some things because of that).

For example, I'm pretty sure (though it's obviously a theory) from interactions that Junseo and Youjin knew each other before the show (and prob still now) and Jeongsu and Sian did. There are moments/interactions that you can tell, especially the double-date in ep. 9. *Apologies for any typos, was trying to get this out fast, before I lost nerve.
