Need Advice on Selling Fabric, What Do Sewers and Quilters Look For?

Hey everyone,

I'm a 19-year-old guy and have a huge roll of white cotton fabric in my room and im tryna get rid off it. It’s in great condition, and I thought it might be a good idea to try and sell it to someone who could use it. But I don’t know much about sewing or quilting, and I want to include all the important details in the listing.

So what kind of information do you look for when buying fabric? Are there specific features that make a fabric more appealing? Here are a few questions I have :

  • How important is the thread count, and what’s considered a good number?
  • Are there any particular features you look for in cotton fabric?
  • Do you prefer certain dimensions or cuts?
  • Any other details that make a fabric more attractive to buyers?

I also want to make sure i answer any question any buyers may have when they go onto my listing somewthing like:

Can the fabric be used after washing? (the answer is yes by the way to this question for the one im tryna sell)

if you guys can think of anymore questions like this that i can answer in my product listing, just let me know thanks.

I appreciate any advice you can give me.

thanks.
