Hurt, and ranting
As I'm sure many of you feel today, it's hard to see myself wearing any Saints memoralbilia after hearing the news about Gayle Bensons use of the team to assist the Catholic Church in a coverup of the Church's sex abuse scandal. I watched Porters game winning interception against Indianapolis, watched the Rams steal their way into a Super Bowl, and (unfortunately) got a Michael Thomas jersey after he completed the all time leading season for a wide receiver in receptions. I love this team, I love the players, and am now totally dismayed by the ownership and front office. Sell the team, the commissioner needs to have the NFL has voiced its stance on serious subjects before, we have "end racism" at the end of our in zones. Gayle Benson used the NFL's brand to aide in a pedophilia coverup, the NFL's brand is what makes it money. Goodell needs to have absolutely zero tolerance on this and have the ownership of the team stripped. Tom made the team what it is, she's abusing the ownership.
This is bigger than football. Unfourtanely the Catholic Church is one of the most powerful western entities around. I'd argue that football and Jesus are on the same pedestal in Louisiana, and as a fan of this football team, I'm ashamed to have black and gold in my closet today.
