Question for Content creators

After listening to the voice-mail on the pod with the dude who quit his job to focus on his youtube channel while he lives with his grandma. Is there still alot of money for content creators? I feel like there is so many creators out there doing the same thing. How big of a creator do you have to be to make a good living from being a content creator?
