Toto toilet seat anchor too big?

Directions state “ do not push anchors all the way through the holes of the ball. If this notice is disregarded, you can lose the anchors.”

Sorry if this is dumb, My guess is you’re just supposed to work it through the hole a little at a time? I don’t like to force things but this is definitely not as easy as just “inserting it”

Thoughts?
