Shave excision removal of facial moles vs laser removal

I have a few moles on my face that I want to remove for cosmetic reasons (they are not cancerous, I’ve had them all my life). I was hoping to get them removed by laser as it was my understanding this would be the best method for minimal scarring and successful removal without growing back.

The laser clinic I contacted assessed my moles and said they could be removed by shave excision (and not laser).

I am wondering should I get another opinion or Is shave excision a good method for these moles vs laser? Should I expect significant scarring? Is it likely they will grow back using this method?
