Phd during H1B? Opinions and Suggestions needed.

I am 26 y/o and on F1 visa (STEM OPT expiring by Feb 2026) with MS Computer Science degree from an American University currently who will be converting to H1B in coming October as I was selected in lottery this year. I wanted to work for 3 years after my Masters to get some exposure to working in the real market as a data driven DS/SWE and strengthen myself financially. As I am nearing to almost 2 years of work experience in the US, I am interested to pursue PhD sometime in next 2 years. In that case -

• Will I be asked to switch back to F1 visa?
• Can I get my H1B back after I complete my PhD?
• What Visa would apply if I will continue towards PostDoc?

I would appreciate any additional insights along with answers to above questions. It will be super helpful.
