What is the justification for not implementing QoL features in game now?

I think this discussion is necessary in the light of POE2 attracting a lot of new players and the multiple recent posts about the archaic trading system, inventory sorting, making it easier to pick up loot, in-game loot filter, and other QOL features.

It used to be the case that people were OK with not having QOL features in game and relying on third party resources instead because GGG were a smaller company and focused on releasing new content on the 3 month cycle. But now that GGG has more resources and are slowing down the content cycle is this still the case?

The tedious nature of some of these systems and relying on third party resources is a huge barrier to entry for new players, and justifiably so. Why should they have to go to a separate website to trade? Why is the process of creating and editing a loot filter so unintuitive and tedious? Why does the game lack automated inventory/stash sorting and management features when this is something other ARPGs have been doing for years? A lot of my friends who are newer players would rather just not trade than interact with the trade website. They’ll probably react the same way when POB is released for POE2 and it’s the only way to benchmark builds.

I understand there are lots of more important gameplay priorities, but now is the time for GGG to start implementing some of these features for POE2 if they’re serious about making the game more accessible for newer players, at least by the full release date.
