Chicago-Kent thoughts
I went over and over in my head what I want to do in my heart of hearts when it comes to all areas of my life. I graduated in 2020 with a BS in Law and Public Policy. I'm from Kentucky and have a lot of hands on experience with state law-making but I'm looking to move away from it. Politics and law-making is a nasty business.
I was a Teamster in school working at UPS which had a profound impact on my life. And if I could be a labor law attorney, specifically working with the Teamsters again, I'd love nothing more than that. And that's why Chicago-Kent interests me over American University in DC, because of how strong the Teamsters are there. It's got a rich history of labor activism and a prime location for logistics.
Is Chicago-Kent going to help me accomplish this? Because lord knows I can not get into Northwestern or UC. My concern was the US News Ranking if I'm honest. I'm not interested in Big Law 501+ firm.
