Considering the evolution of AI in recent times, do you think that No Mans Sky should have a sequence with an improved procedural form
I mean, NMS is probably the game that takes the most advantage of procedural generation, but the way it works is starting to get old and everyone at the endgame noticed the patterns, with advances in AI the game could create complete and unique planets that work in their own ways and react differently to the player, of course, maintaining the creative vision of the game.
An example are those indie projects on Youtube that make creatures evolve, like "Evolution Simulated" and "Synthetic Selection", I'm not saying that NMS should be based on evolution, but these projects show how far procedural generation can go.
But that would be too dramatic for an update, so a new game with a new engine would work better for this, and for one of the last companies not abusing the consumer with microtransactions, a new game would be the best option. I know that's easier said than done, but that's just me dreaming.
Anyway, I'm hyped for Light No Fire but what's your opinion?
