What’s something that holds ninjago back from being better?

I feel like one of the biggest things holding Ninjago back is its inconsistency, both in writing and stakes. Some seasons have great character development and engaging stories, while others feel rushed or full of filler (Crystalized is a good example of this). Power creep is also a problem—every new villain is hyped up as the “strongest ever,” which makes previous threats feel less important. Plus, the show has a habit of introducing cool side characters like Skylor or the Elemental Masters and then barely using them again. Instead, it keeps bringing back old villains like Harumi and Garmadon rather than exploring fresh ideas. And then there’s the lack of a true ending—Crystalized was supposed to be a big finale, but Dragons Rising just rebooted everything without giving real closure to the original ninja. It feels like the show keeps going without fully committing to its stakes, which takes away from the impact of its biggest moments.
