UPS lost nods in shipping. Anyone deal with this before? Used pirateship for label and purchased insurance.
So I sold my 1431’s very recently, and the buyer and I split shipping for next day air so he would have them by this weekend. I dropped off the package at our local UPS store on New Year’s Eve. I have the drop off receipt showing they received it. After that, it was never rescanned and obviously missed the “guaranteed arrival” date by a few days now.
Talked to UPS and they opened a claim and they have considered it lost and are investigating. Called the store and they said it’s not there and should have been picked up the day after New years. Opened claim with the insurance company, insureshield, and haven’t heard a word but the claim was only opened yesterday. Not really getting anywhere with anyone besides “open a claim.” Feels like they’re not even looking for the missing package.
I have called and been in constant contact with the buyer and am holding the money in anticipation of returning it to him if they don’t arrive within the next week or two.
Has anyone dealt with this? Anyone ever had to claim with insureshield? I have pictures, I have a video of me packaging the nods and applying label, and I have the drop off receipt. Obviously very nervous and upset at the idea of losing over 5k because of UPS’s negligence and upset for my buyer for putting him through this as well.
