Reaching 4,000 watch hours within 365 day range seems impossible

So, I reckon reaching that amount of watch hours is relatively easy for long content like let's play channels, streamers, and podcasts. Because in theory, if video's length is 4 hours it only requires 1000 people to watch it all the way through to reach 4K watch time.

Meanwhile, I produce short term content (2-10 min), that requires relative a lot of time to produce. And view count is ranges between 100 and 1K, which means a month's work might yield 100 hours of watch time. So, within year's range that would be around 1,200. Therefore it's impossible to ever reach 4K watch hours.

This leaves me with only two choices, keep up the grind, and hope the view count gradually improves, or compromise on the quality in order to produce more content.

I guess people here have similar experiences, how do you cope with it?
