Bendava me ye – Our Dam, Our Resistance

Hunergeha Welat, the artistic and cultural community founded in 2019 in Qamişlo, has released a new video clip filmed at the Tişrin Dam, dedicated to the ongoing resistance against Turkey’s attacks. The video is accompanied by the song "Bendava me ye" (which means "It is our dam"), a piece that conveys the community's struggle and determination through music.

The clip includes photographs of the journalists Nazim Daştan and Cîhan Bilgin, who were assassinated by Turkey, along with images of the other people killed at the Tişrin Dam.

Hunergeha Welat, whose name means "The Art Atelier of the Homeland," continues to play a vital role in promoting art and culture in Rojava, giving voice to the resistance through music.
