Help for newish xbox player

Hey all, I've been playing survival on my Xbox One for about a week or two now and have really become obsessed. My main question, for people who hopefully have way more experience, is can I make a new creative game/world and mess around with that, without it messing up/deleting my current survival game?

I don't want to risk making a new creative save and then realize my survival game I've been sinking hours into is now gone. I've seen contradictory answers through Google, figured I'd turn to here where I can get an answer from someone who has done it themselves.
