Trying to figure out what lead to my acute leaky gut

In September I started getting pretty bad symptoms in my gut. Appetite lessened, getting random reactions to food I used to eat, burning pain in my abdomen, etc. Shortly after I started getting very anxious and depressed. I was so certain this was a microcosm of mold exposure, but a negative mycotoxin test proved otherwise. I also took a SIBO test and came out with an extremely mild result. I then took a GIMAP test and it turns out I have pretty bad leaky gut. I’m currently in the process of healing, but have been trying to figure out what could’ve lead to this. I had a 7.5/10 diet before, eating mostly whole foods and tried to stay health conscious. I did have a stressful year and did often drink on weekends, which I’m sure could have played a factor. I’d also been using a night guard that I hadn’t properly cleaned in.. years.. and have been pondering if that could’ve had an effect as well.

Anyone else have leaky gut that started out of nowhere? It’s just such a strange thing to me.
