Unconnected battery went from 100% to 95% in three days
My son's 2012 Ford Taurus has had a parasitic draw for about a month. The first time the car wouldn't start, we had the two-year-old battery tested and they said it was fine, but it was drained. We took the car to a couple of mechanics and we thought the second guy had it fixed, but after a week the car wouldn't start again. As an experiment, I took the battery out, charged it completely, and then let it sit in the garage for a few days. It's now at 95%.
My question is this: is it possible that the draw has been fixed, but that the consistent draw over the past few weeks has damaged the battery? I'm not sure if my next move should be back to the battery place or back to the mechanic who specializes in electronic issues. Thanks
