How long to get Sub 3:00???
I just ran my first half at 1:57. I know this makes me sound ignorant but I am an ex college athlete (soccer) and ran it with minimal training - around 3 weeks of actual training (running 4 times a week and cardio on other days).
I know its not an exact science, but how long would you think I need to train to try and go Sub 3:00 for a full?
12 Weeks, 16 Weeks, More?
EDIT: I was also a highschool xc/track runner who stopped in 10th grade. My times then were 17:05 for 5K and 4:50 1600m. I am somewhat wondering what is a reasonable amount of time for me to put asisde with a goal of running under 3:00. Currently thinking within 2025…
