Why doesn’t anyone often make a fanboy/girl movie about an actress?

We often celebrate fanboy movies made for our heroes - like Prithviraj with Lucifer, Amal Neerad with Bheeshma Parvam, Lokesh Kanagaraj with Vikram, or Tharun Moorthy with Thudarum. These films aren’t just made to please the fans of these actors - they’re clear tributes from directors who are fans themselves. You can feel their admiration for the actors and it’s what makes these movies stand out.

But why don’t we see fanboy or fangirl movies for our heroines? Actresses like Urvashi, Shobana, Revathi, and Manju Warrier have their own loyal fanbases and have played so many iconic characters that deserve to be celebrated. The closest examples I can think of are How Old Are You and Thira - which aren't true fanboy movies though.

Is it just patriarchy that holds filmmakers back from doing this? Or are there other reasons why these tributes don’t happen for actresses? Curious to know what you think.
