The other day, I was with my old department manager, and we were checking on a product. A customer needed help in another department and was mad because they had been waiting for 20 minutes. They asked me if I knew how to do it, and I said no. Then they said, "Follow me." On the way to the aisle, they went on a rant. What stuck with me is that they said ASMs are not here to work, just to supervise, not to be doing associates' jobs. I feel like we are going to have this problem because we are this short on staff, and the staff that we do have are on vacation.
