[Lelit Bianca V3] Do you clean your steam wand?

The user manual recommends putting the tip of the wand in a jug of 500ml of soapy water, and turning on the steam wand for 5 secs x 10 times.

At the same time, James Hoffman cleaning video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bl7kuC1IQ-g&t=674s) says you shouldn't need to do anything as long as you purge & wipe the steamwand on every use.

Do you follow Lelit's instruction, or is cleaning the steam wand with water + soap a waste of time? I don't think there is a risk of damage to the machine, but it seems like an unnecessary extra step.
