Assaulted after minor car crash

Hey Reddit,

I was cut off today by someone who decided to skip the car queue. I was queuing in the left hand lane to turn left, a car shot down the right hand lane and then turned left, while I was coming out, then scuffed across the right side of my bumper.

The guy got out very aggressively, and after exchanging a few words, punched me in the face and wrestled me to the ground, I didn’t retaliate.

I filed a police report, and also got their number plate, but didn’t take any photos due to being shaken up. But I did have 2 people in the car as witnesses

I’m planning to press charges and claim on my insurance for the damages. But just wondering if I have a good case without photos of the 2 cars together. Is there anything I can do to help?
