Kimono Rental

My husband and I are doing a tea ceremony sometime this week on our trip to Kyoto. In my excitement, I also booked a kimono rental for some nice photos. However, my husband and I are both white. I keep getting very mixed opinions on whether or not I should wear one at all but I’ve always wanted to. I feel like I wanna embrace everything I can but I don’t want to do anything that isn’t appropriate. My husband also didn’t want to wear one because he is constantly too warm anyway, so it would just be me and I kinda need to know that if I’m doing it on my own that I’m justified and allowed to do so.
