Is it weird that I find AM kind of hot?

So when I first read IHNMAIMS, I was about as traumatized as you can be from reading a story, which caught me off guard since I read a ton of horror so I’m pretty jaded. I didn’t really register AM is anything other than appallingly terrifying. Then I watched a playthrough of the game and heard the radio play and now, I cringe to admit it, I find AM as a character weirdly hot. I’m pretty sure that this was not the intention of the author, but that makes it even more awkward because I’m also pretty sure it’s Harlan Ellison’s voice acting that has made my insane brain start registering AM as hot.

So then I got on YouTube and realized that I am definitely not alone in this response. So my question is, why does AM have so many thirsty fans as opposed to other evil AIs like HAL in 2001? These are my theories: (1) AM has a very dom-like personality with his cruelty and absolute power as well as obsession with his victims: (2) AM especially in the game has a dark sense of humor and in the radio play is kind of sympathetic which gives him complexity that makes him attractive as an antihero; (3) this is the shallowest reason; Harlan’s voice is just super charismatic and it’s as simple as that.

What do you all think? Why does AM have more thirsty fans than other evil AIs from classic sci fi literature?
