Interesting video on our pressing shape vs City, especially for the first goal (from FourFourTwo).

One extra thing I think is worth noting is Stones' body shape upon receiving the pass from Ortega (best seen on spider cam view about 50 seconds in). He would have an easy pass to Gvardiol on, but because he's a righty playing on the left, he's closed his body to that side of the pitch - Odegaard is too close for him to comfortably sort his shape out to play that pass, so he takes the "safe" option to Akanji.

We know how obsessed Adteta is about those sorts of details, so have to think this was a very deliberate play. First to shut off the pass to Akanji from Ortega, then to leave that pass option available for Stones, but have both Trossard and Rice anticipating the pass to close down Akanji so effectively.
