Baby measuring small :( 6th percentile, 28w6d

Hi guys

Just wondering if anyone had been through a similar situation. I was diagnosed at 15w and am currently on nighttime insulin, 2x pre-meal insulin per day, and 2g metformin per day

So we had our first growth scan today at 28w6d and despite all the warnings of diabetes creating big babies it turns out mine is the opposite.

He was measuring completely average on the 20 week scan but he's now unfortunately measuring on the 6th percentile, which the consultant says means he is either simply very small or he is not able to get enough nutrition from the placenta.

I am being moved to much more consistent monitoring, so will have another growth scan in 2 weeks.

We have to be prepared for every growth scan that they may want to get him out as quick as possible, so he may come as early as 2 weeks time. They did say that that was unlikely though.

Has anyone else been through this? I asked whether I should be doing anything different with my diet/insulin etc and the answer seemed to be 'no', but I have been put on a continual blood monitor (the Libre) rather than fingerpricking as I've had a few hypos this week
