Omeprazole and famotidine

I have GERD and a small hiatal hernia. I was taking 40 mg Famotidine twice a day but after a while it seemed like it wasn't working because I was on it for it q while. So, I just started taking Omeprazole 20 mg OTC in the mornings. I don't feel like that's really helping but then again I've been on it a couple of days. Can I continue taking one 40 mg of Famotidine at night along with Omeprazole 20 mg in the mornings????? I was on Protonix also but that didn't help much. It gave me headaches and joint pain. I feel like nothing really helps medication wise 😭 I do also take a probiotic, drink a lot of water and my diet isn't always great but I try.
