Worst theories

What are the most ridiculous theories you've entertained or seen? I mean the really out there, tinfoil hat stuff, even if it doesn't stand up to scrutiny in the end.

I was briefly convinced that people end up there after killing someone in the real world, either by accident or on purpose, and the town punishes them and makes them relive it by having them kill or witness a similar scenario. The only person who is actually confirmed to have killed someone is Father Kahtri so the evidence is weak (well, pretty much non-existant) but Tabitha and Jim also caused the death of their baby through negligence.

In my mind this is how each of the others could have killed:

-Sarah escaping her implied domestic abuse situation. We don't know much about it other than Nathan had to come and pick her up. He doesn't seem as shocked as he could be when he finds her showering off blood. Not the first time? -Christi killed someone as a medical student -Acosta shot someone in the line of duty -Donna caused someone's death while hunting -Toby and Jade killed someone driving while high -Boyd caused Brian Kelly's death -Dale looked pretty comfortable stabbing Ellis in the kitchen. Surely not his first time? -Same Fatima with those garden shears -Marielle shanked someone for some drugs -Ellis bored someone to death -Randall seems like he could have easily killed a few people
