Looking for Weird Restaurants in NYC

Hi there, It is my brother in law's birthday this weekend and I am tasked with finding a spot to eat. Some quick information: he does not eat red meat and is lactose intolerant. He loves cycling and is going to have a group ride with his friends with the restaurant (that I end up picking) as the destination. I'm looking for something super weird that could host a group of people that is probably close to 15. In my head, it would be some sort of ethnic cuisine in Jackson heights or something but I'm open to anywhere. He is a very good cook, and has tried every type of cuisine that exists. I’m looking less for weird food (still a good option) and more of just an overall weird vibe. I apologize for the vague requirements. Anything helps. Thank you in advance!
