New to 3D Printing. Any Suggestions?
Hey All,
As the title says I'm new to 3D printing and I'm trying to dial in organic supports since they seem to save a lot on printing time and material. Any thoughts on what I can adjust to improve the stability/quality of the supports?
If I don't need supports the prints come out great, really satisfied with the quality I'm getting, but when I need to throw supports in, the organic trees seem to print in poor quality and then they eventually fail, which screws up the rest of the print.
I have messed with lowering the branches angle, support print speed and the retraction length/speed (mainly to eliminate some stringing that was pretty minor) but I'm curious to see what the experts here think.
I know I could probably just use regular grid supports, but if I want to see if I can dial in the organic stuff before 'throwing in the towel'.
I'm using a Prusa i3 Mk3 with PETG filament Temp settings are 230 / 80 bed temp for first layer, then 240 / 90 bed temp for the rest of the layers.
Forgive me if I forgot any crucial details, I am but a humble newb at printing!
Thanks in advance!
