Been really enjoying JRPGs lately, stuff like Chrono Trigger and Octopath Traveler. I'd like recommendations for similar games

Never played any Final Fantasy games but keep hearing good stuff about some of the games. I kind of don't like having too much gameplay-interrupting dialogue or cinematics so I'd probably enjoy some of the older games more. I'd like maybe a list of the best games to try in order if possible.
