I'm searching for fantasy book titles that aren't the typical kind; let me explain: I want a fantasy (not urban fantasy) that doesn't center on a hero protagonist, or one like George R.R. Martin's, which focuses mainly on the nobility. I'm looking for a fantasy (with magical and fantastical elements) that deals with more realistic scenarios… More like stories similar to those by Flaubert, Tolstoy, Verga, Nabokov, but set in a fantasy world with magical creatures and magic. Does this kind of fantasy exist?
