BMW Dealership Negligence – Why I’ll NEVER Buy a BMW Again

I’ve always believed that taking your car to a BMW dealership meant getting quality service from “certified technicians”—but my recent experience proves otherwise. After this, I can confidently say: I’ll never buy another BMW again.

The Problem

I took my BMW 328i to an official BMW dealership for a recall and they changed the valve cover gasket replacement. Given that this is a common issue with BMWs (because let’s be real, their gaskets are trash), I expected a simple fix. Instead, I got a complete disaster:

❌Oil inside the ignition coil holes – Clearly, the spark plug tube seals were either not replaced or installed incorrectly. This means oil is leaking into areas it shouldn’t, which could lead to misfires, poor performance, and expensive future repairs. ❌A literal BIRD FEATHER inside my ignition coil – Yes, you read that right. I opened the ignition coil area after the service and found a small bird feather inside. That means the dealership didn’t even bother covering my engine properly while working on it. How the hell does a feather even end up inside an engine during a gasket replacement?! ❌Zero accountability from BMW – When I confronted them, they denied responsibility, offered no free inspection, and refused any kind of compensation for their blatant negligence.

📞 Zero Communication – They Never Call Back

After discovering their negligence, I tried to contact an advisor at BMW of Bellevue. What happened? • They transferred me over and over. • No one ever called me back. • I’ve been waiting for over 12 HOURS for a response.

At this point, they are ignoring me and hoping I’ll just go away. This isn’t what you expect when you’re paying premium dealership prices for service.

❌ I’m Done with BMW

If BMW can’t even hold their dealerships accountable, why should I keep supporting the brand? This experience shows they don’t value their customers after the sale. If you’re considering a BMW, think twice about their horrible dealership service.

BMW of Bellevue needs to own up to their mistakes and compensate customers for their incompetence. Until then, I’m done with BMW.

BMW loves to charge insane amounts for repairs and pretends to offer “premium service,” but what’s the point if their own technicians can’t even perform basic maintenance correctly? • A valve cover gasket replacement is NOT a complex job—if a BMW dealership can’t even do this right, how can you trust them with anything else? • If I hadn’t checked myself, I’d be driving around with oil contaminating my ignition system and debris inside my engine. Imagine what happens to people who don’t know much about cars and just “trust the dealership.” • BMW already makes fragile, overcomplicated cars that fall apart after warranty, and now we have to worry about their dealerships screwing up basic repairs too?!

My Final Thoughts – BMW Bellevue is a Scam

Between poor reliability, insanely overpriced repairs, and now dealership incompetence, this was my final straw. I refuse to support a company that can’t even get their own service centers to do the bare minimum.

If you’re considering buying a BMW, DON’T. Unless you love constant headaches, endless dealership visits, and incompetent service, save yourself the trouble and get a car from a brand that actually stands behind its products.

BMW Owners Beware

Has anyone else had horrible dealership experiences like this? I’d love to hear how BMW has screwed you over too.
