Will I like this series?

I was recommended this book after posting on a red rising sub looking for new books to start. I loved red rising and scifi, but I’m not a fan of any Brandon Sanderson stuff or Tolkien stuff that takes 5 pages to describe each tree in the forest. I like dialog, action, and twists. I also only listen to audiobooks. Red rising is my favorite series of all time
