Memories of previous dreams within current dreams.

My dreams have always been distinct and vivid for as long as I can remember. Mostly my dreams take place in my hometown of only 3000 people. That part is beside the point but or less to emphasize how important my dreams seem to be to me (I’m 32 years old). I recently started realizing that within my dreams I am remembering previous dreams as memories.

These “memories” have never happened while awake or even ever come close to happening. My “dream self” has referenced memories that only happened in my past dreams. Even if they were years ago and I don’t remember them consciously.

Has anyone else experienced memories of dreams within dreams?
