The Problem with Treasures/Events

Treasures recently have been feeling pretty mid. The current one is straight up dogshit, with decent skins at best. The problem is, a lot of these heroes already have banger skins and immortals, or even personas and Arcanas. I'm not gonna spend $30 bucks on a dogshit Lich skin if I already have his immortals.

Most of the Crownfall treasures were insanely mid. The only ones worth getting were rare and you'd have to either get super lucky or spend 30 bucks trying to get. Compare this to the Immortal treasures from the battlepasses, which were full of top tier skins that were all worth getting, with the rares being golden versions or skins that ended up being insanely desireable like Mace of Aeons. Not only that, but you would get tons of them for free from the battlepass, along with the arcanas and other rewards. Crownfall gave us like 3-5 of each treasure, which didn't get you anything unless you were lucky.

My proposition is the treasures system needs to be reworked. Valve promised events when they got rid of the battlepass, and so far it's only been Crownfall. I personally would much rather have smaller events that lasted about a month max that came with a treasure that we would get for free. They can still do collectors caches, but this way, we don't have to blow $30 bucks on a bunch of skins every time a treasure pops up. They need to introduce way more immortals (there used to be like 18 new ones every year from Immortal treasures alone) and more personas (cough Jugg's sister) and arcanas.

Instead of doing a massive event, do smaller ones like Diretide or Frostivus. It would be cool to see some for summertime with a beach event or Easter with an Easter egg hunt. With each one, have one or two fun little things and a treasure that you get (for free) for participating in the events. An easter egg hunt could be a perfect way to hand out free treasures. If you want more, you can always buy more, but this way, people get to enjoy dota without emptying their wallets every time a skin comes out that they want.

More importantly, the quality of the skins needs to shoot up. I'm tired of the same crappy skins that look like something you'd find on the market for $0.04. At the very least, give me something worth buying.
