Thoughts? 2.6 / 2.7 cts

Hi all! Very exciting time for me as I shop around for engagement rings!!!!

I have been shown the following two diamonds and they seem great. However I am just starting my search and not an expert by any means so would love to hear what the community has to say. My jeweler is an excellent guy and is very knowledgable but always good to get second thoughts.

I think this is the size I wanted but not sure if the compromise in quality is worth it - would people in general consider it a better idea to go 2-2.5 CTS with better quality? Thanks!
