Credit card debt legal action
I’ve received several notices in the mail from law firms and companies saying that a credit card company is suing me. Some have the correct magistrate information but none have the correct name involved. They are not typos, but different peoples names. I have indeed lapsed on my payments but never received any official papers from a court asking me to appear or anything. Is this common? The company wants me to start a payment plan with them but their minimum is far too much for me to afford at the moment. If I pay them in small amounts via the app I typically made payments on, is that enough to stave off legal action, or will they sue me regardless?
Thank you. I’ve considered consulting an attorney but I don’t have the money at the moment and am I just looking for advice from others who may have experience…
