Prominence 2 - WHERE ARE THE SAPPHIRES??

I've been searching the sapphires in the nether for almost 3 days, but I found none. Searching online I understood that I have to search in the Soul sand valley between y 0 and 96, but still nothing. Does the modpack modify the ore spawn? Or am I just the unluckiest person alive?
